1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14' 15 16 17 18 19. 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 4565 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON REGARDING SCHOOL FACILITIES IN THE RIALTO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT WHEREAS, on March 5, 1985, representatives of the Board of Education of Rialto Unified School District appeared before the City Council of the City of Colton and made a presentation with regard to findings by the Board of that District pursuant to Government Code Section 65971, and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to obtain information so that it may evaluate the findings made by the Board of said School District, and WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that it requires the services of a competent, qualified consultant in order to make its deter - urination with regard to such findings, and WHEREAS, various property owners owning land in the portion of the City of Colton which lies in the Rialto Unified School District have pending with the City development applications for the construction of new residential developments. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton resolves as follows: 1. The forgoing recitals are true and correct. 2. The City Manager is authorized and directed to employ a consultant to investigate and report on the findings of the Board of Rialto Unified School District made pursuant to Government Code Section 65971 and to report thereon to this Council. The City Manager shall, in employing such consultant, consider the availability of 'cele consultant promptly to proceed with the investigation and report so that the report will be made to the City Council without undue dela1T. The City Manager is further directed to place the report of the consultant referred to above on the agenda of the City Council at the next meeting following the receipt of such report.
