CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of APRIL 3, 1990 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: JENNIFER THORNBERRY, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR J-& <br />SUBJECT: AUTHORIZE THE USE OF LOW AND MODERATE INCCME Date: MARCH 28, 1990 <br />HOUSING TAX INCRIIMENT OUTSIDE OF PROJECT AREAS - COLTON <br />SENIOR CITIZENS HOUSING COMPLEX <br />In connection with the financing of the Colton Senior Citizens Housing Complex, the <br />Redevelopment Agency is committing a portion of its low and moderate income housing <br />tax increment from all six of the redevelopment projects of the Agency to the project. <br />Under provisions of the Health and Safety Code, when low and moderate housing monies <br />are proposed to be used outside of a redevelopment project area, both the Agency and <br />City Council are required to make findings that such use will benefit the involved <br />redevelopment projects. <br />The attached resolution makes this necessary finding. <br />RECCMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council adopt a Resolution, by title, as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS <br />PURSUANT TO HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE SECTTON 33334.2(g) WITH RESPECT TO THE COLTON <br />SENIORS HOUSING PROJECT <br />JT/bjw <br />City Manager's Concurrence ZA( <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of <br />Memorandum From Agency Counsel <br />Resolution <br />Item No. $' <br />CENTRAL RECORDS <br />FILE NO..c�Q_V.._/...............rG,� <br />
