CITY OF COLTON AGENDA REPORT For Council Meeting of 6 February 1990 . TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council FROM: Jaime R. Aquilera, Director of Community Development%%Y SUBJECT: Nordic Develooment - Status Report Date: Feb. 1, 1990 The Council will recall that several homeowners have requested City intervention with the Nordic Development Company due to a lack of response and cooperation by Nordic in addressing customer service issues. During the Council Meeting of December 19, 1989, Staff was instructed tu monitor Nordic's promise to address the homeowner complaints. To date, Staff has met with four homeowners from the Paradise Hills tract and three from the Copper Crest tract at their request. Presently, the issues at the Copper Crest tract have been resolved to the homeowners' satisfaction. However, the homeowners in the Paradise Hills tract continue to have problems with a timely and professional response to their problems. It must be noted that many of the issues have been resolved. Nordic has failed to address all problems within the 30-day time allotted to them. The City Manager has written a letter to all homeowners (attached) which essentially requests that those people who are still not satisfied with Nordic's performance contact us so that we may follow up with the Contractor's Licensing Board. Aztached to this report is a resolution which the City Council may wish to utilize in making our concerns known to the State Department of Consumer Affairs. Action• The Council may wish to adopt the attached resolution as a strong indication that the City of Colton will not tolerate Nordic's cavalier attitude towards the homeowners' problems.
