CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of March 19, 1991 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: John C. Hutton, Director of Public Works <br />SUBJECT: Acceptance of Water Quality Control Plant Expansion Date: March 11, 1991 <br />Project as 100% Complete and Authorize the Filing <br />of the Notice of Completions <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City's wastewater treatment plant needed to expand its capacity in order to <br />accommodate new developments within the City. Council authorized the work to be <br />completed in phases. The contracts for the first phase of the expansion were awarded <br />by Council in 1988. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: <br />EINCO Process Equipment Company was awarded the contract to provide the needed <br />equipment for the plant expansion. Allred and Kyser was awarded the contract for <br />the construction work. Both companies have completed their contracts, and Krieger <br />and Stewart, the City's consulting engineer, is recommending that the project be <br />accepted as 100% complete. Staff has reviewed this recommendation and concurs. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />ALTERNATIVES; <br />None <br />ENVIRONYy1ENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECCbMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council accept the Water Quality Control Plant Expansion, Phase <br />I as 100% complete and authorize the Director of Public Works to file the notice of <br />completions. <br />Attachments: 4 <br />Page 1 of <br />l -N RECORDS <br />FILE ................ ...� <br />Item No. 2 <br />
