STRATTON, CHIEF OF POLICE <br />Date: March 6, 1991 <br />SUBJECT: INCREASE EXISTING FEES FOR POLICE <br />ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES <br />The Police Department performs animal control services to the <br />public for fees that are significantly below those of other local <br />police agencies. In some cases, the Department pays more to the <br />San Bernardino City Animal Shelter than the amount recovered from <br />citizens for the service rendered. <br />City Resolution No. 4648 is an amendment to City Resolution No. <br />4310 which sets the fees for the Police Animal Control. <br />The animal control services performed for the public include the <br />following with current fees: <br />1. <br />Dog Licensing - $10 per <br />animal <br />or $5 <br />for spayed or <br />neutered <br />animals. <br />2. <br />Penalty for Late Renewal <br />- $10 <br />per animal <br />(by July 1st) <br />3. <br />Duplicate Dog License - <br />$1 per <br />animal <br />4. <br />Dog Apprehension - $18 <br />for the first <br />apprehension <br />$20 <br />for the <br />second <br />apprehension <br />$25 <br />for the <br />third <br />apprehension <br />5. <br />Dog Pickups - $18 <br />6. <br />Dead Dog Pickups - $5 <br />7. <br />Dead Cat Pickups - $2 <br />Attachments: <br />Page I <br />of- <br />FILE N0...�_ .- '. : ............. .J. <br />Item No. /5 <br />
