Drews, Electric Utility Director <br />SUBJECT: AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO FEATHER RIVER LICENSING APPLICA- Date: April 28, 1992 <br />TION AGREEMENT AND AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO HAAS -KINGS <br />RIVER PROJECT LICENSING APPLICATION AGREEMENT <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Cities of Anaheim, Azusa, Banning, Colton and Riverside, California <br />("Southern Cities"), entered into a Licensing Application Agreement for the Haas - <br />Kings River Project and the Feather River Project, effective as of September 1, <br />1982, to study and file a consolidated competing license application to own and <br />operate the Project with Northern California Power Agency (NCPA) and Sacramento <br />Municipal Utility District (SMUD). <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />Due to a settlement between SMUD and PG&E, the remaining parties must appoint a <br />new representative and re -allocate the percentage share of costs. The Parties <br />desire to enter into these Amendment Agreements to complete activities under ECPA <br />(Electric Consumers Protection Act of 1986) and to take any appropriate action <br />with regard to SMUD's Settlement Agreement with PG&E. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />None. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />Unknown at this time due to the process, however there should be no impact. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends Council approve the Amendment No. 1 to Feather River Licensing <br />Application Agreement and Amendment No. 2 to Haas -Kings River Project Licensing <br />Application Agreement and designate the City Manager to sign these documents. <br />Agreement is on file in Ci Cle 's office <br />CONCURRENCE <br />Mark Lewis <br />City Manager <br />Attachments: <br />for your review. <br />Page 1 of 1 Item No. <br />
