zoo Swimming Pool Mrs. Bea Hernandez, 258 East N Street, Colton, asked for information with regard to the new swimming pool to be located at the high school, as far as hours, days of operation, etc., for the general public. Mrs. Hernandez stated she would like to know about these things, as well as many of the youth of the community who have questioned the availability of the pool if it is to be located at the high school. City Manager Huffaker stated the pool to be located at the high school will follow the same schedule that the City has always maintained for their Recreation Programs, which would be available to the general public as well. Transportation Extension of Bus Service Councilman Gonzales asked if the bus service could be extended along Pine Street, between "0" and Congress Streets, for the convenience of the people in that area. Mayor Huntoon said he could see no reason why not, and that he will bring this matter up at the next S.B.T.S. meeting. EXECUTIVE SESSION: The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 9:12 p. m., and reconvened at 10:22 p. m., all members present. RAMOS City Clerk City of Colton * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ADJOURNED COUNCIL MEETING January 19, 1976 In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding. Mayor Huntoon led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Invocation was offered by the Reverend T. Arthur Smith, Colton First Baptist Church. RniI mi Council members present were Hayes, Spragins, Rehrer, Gonzales, and Mayor Huntoon. Also present were City Manager Huffaker, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. CONSENT CALENDAR: Minutes January 6, 1976 Warrants 4456 through 4653 24469 through 25020 January 15, 1976 Inclusive Chamber of Commerce - request for remaining Budget allocation, approved. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, to approve the Consent Calendar. Vote was unanimous. MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: Commission Appointments Mayor Huntoon announced that Commission Appointments, to the Recreation and Parks Commission and the Civil Service Commission, will be made later in the evening during Executive Session. Presentation of Outstanding Service Award Mayor Huntoon read a letter from the Police Chief regarding a traffic accident that occurred on November 27, 1974, involving a Miss Sanchez, whom Councilman Hayes attended while City Manager Huffaker summoned the Police and ambulance. Mayor Huntoon presented to Councilman Hayes the Outstanding Citizen Service Award, and congratulated him for his assistance and bravery. JAN 1 lt1976
