COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 4, 1978 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on <br />the above given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, <br />Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by the Reverend David R. Pasamonte of the United <br />Methodist Church. <br />ROLL CAI <br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, and Mayor Gonzales. <br />Also present were City Manager Calabrese, City Attorney Edwards, and Deputy <br />City Clerk Veralrud. Vote was unanimous. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Community Centers <br />Progress Reports <br />Mr. Jess Perez, of Perez & Hurtado, Architects, Inc., gave a progress report on <br />the Lawrence A. Hutton and Peter S. Luque Community Centers, advising that due <br />to the inclement weather conditions, completion of the two Community Centers <br />has been delayed substantially, and it is now anticipated the Centers will be <br />completed for occupancy some time during the week of May 8 to 15, 1978. <br />Mr. Perez stated the electric partitions for the Lawrence A. Hutton Center <br />have been ordered, along with the kitchen equipment for the two Centers, <br />and all of these items will be delivered before completion of the two build- <br />ings. <br />Mr. Perez said that along with the Council Members, Community Citizens Ad- <br />visory Commission, Planning Commission, and everyone that has worked so hard <br />on these projects, the whole community should be invited to attend the dedi- <br />cation ceremonies of these two, long-awaited Community Centers. <br />Boards and Commissions <br />Library Board <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, ratifying Mayor's <br />reappointments of Dr. Renald J. Anelle and Mrs. Naomi Carpenter to the <br />Library Board for another term. Unanimous vote. <br />4� <br />APR 41978 <br />
