93 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />July 5, 1978 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales <br />presiding. <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by the Reverend Father Peter Luque of San Salvador Church. <br />Rni I CAI I <br />Council members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, and Mayor Gonzales. Also <br />present were City Manager Calabrese, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Minutes <br />June 19, 1978 <br />June 20, 1978 <br />June 26, 1978 <br />� Bids <br />Approved authorization to advertise on the following: <br />Q Four 300 KVA Transformers <br />86,000 feet of underground cable & street light wire <br />Lamp poles & fixtures for the Mt. Vernon Avenue -Cooley Drive <br />Light standards & fixtures for Tract 9942 <br />Awards of bids for the following: <br />Underground Residential Distribution Cable to Consolidated Electrical <br />Distributors. <br />Six 75 KVA Transformers to Maydwell and Hartzell. <br />Governmental Agency <br />Accepted the Semi -Annual Report from Environmental Health Services. <br />Claims <br />Denied the claim of James A. Dooling. <br />Dance Permit/Barbecue <br />Fontana Sheriff's Mounted Posse, Saturday, August 5, 19785 <br />Movieland Frontier Town. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve the Consent <br />Calendar with the exception of Warrants Nos. 19155 through 19440, and Nos. 19449 <br />through 19478, and Nos. 15288 through 15398 (July 1) inclusive. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC HFARTNGS- <br />PREZONING <br />Annex. Nos. North 15, East 30, West 30 & Fire Dst. Prop. <br />Mayor Gonzales announced the time and place fixed for public hearing and declared <br />the public hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no pro- <br />tests or objections had been received. <br />Planning Director Gonzales reported the prezonings concern the properties currently <br />being annexed to the City of Colton with the action being initiated by the Planning <br />Commission pursuant to Section 65859, Article 2, Chapter 4, Title 7 of the Government <br />Code. <br />Mr. Gonzales described the proposed prezonings for each of four areas involved, as <br />outlined in his memorandum to the Council dated June 28, 1978, entitled File Index <br />No. A-7-78. Mr. Gonzales concluded by stating at this time the City of Colton is <br />the only unit of government having the capacity to furnish water, sewer and other <br />municipal services to the annexations and that staff finds the proposed prezonings <br />to be consistent with the residential designation of the properties and the commercial <br />designations as set forth in the City's General Plan. <br />JUL 1978 <br />
