93 COUNCIL MEETING July 5, 1978 A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Invocation was offered by the Reverend Father Peter Luque of San Salvador Church. Rni I CAI I Council members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Calabrese, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. CONSENT CALENDAR: Minutes June 19, 1978 June 20, 1978 June 26, 1978 � Bids Approved authorization to advertise on the following: Q Four 300 KVA Transformers 86,000 feet of underground cable & street light wire Lamp poles & fixtures for the Mt. Vernon Avenue -Cooley Drive Light standards & fixtures for Tract 9942 Awards of bids for the following: Underground Residential Distribution Cable to Consolidated Electrical Distributors. Six 75 KVA Transformers to Maydwell and Hartzell. Governmental Agency Accepted the Semi -Annual Report from Environmental Health Services. Claims Denied the claim of James A. Dooling. Dance Permit/Barbecue Fontana Sheriff's Mounted Posse, Saturday, August 5, 19785 Movieland Frontier Town. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve the Consent Calendar with the exception of Warrants Nos. 19155 through 19440, and Nos. 19449 through 19478, and Nos. 15288 through 15398 (July 1) inclusive. Unanimous vote. PUBLIC HFARTNGS- PREZONING Annex. Nos. North 15, East 30, West 30 & Fire Dst. Prop. Mayor Gonzales announced the time and place fixed for public hearing and declared the public hearing open. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no pro- tests or objections had been received. Planning Director Gonzales reported the prezonings concern the properties currently being annexed to the City of Colton with the action being initiated by the Planning Commission pursuant to Section 65859, Article 2, Chapter 4, Title 7 of the Government Code. Mr. Gonzales described the proposed prezonings for each of four areas involved, as outlined in his memorandum to the Council dated June 28, 1978, entitled File Index No. A-7-78. Mr. Gonzales concluded by stating at this time the City of Colton is the only unit of government having the capacity to furnish water, sewer and other municipal services to the annexations and that staff finds the proposed prezonings to be consistent with the residential designation of the properties and the commercial designations as set forth in the City's General Plan.
