340 amount of $950, for theurchas <br />p e of window blinds at the Hutton Center to darken the <br />room for showing films and to protect from the midday sun; however, this equipment <br />must be used predominantly by senior citizens. <br />Mr. Gonzales advised that the contract terminates when the equipment is no longer <br />usuable or after two years have elapsed, therefore, Staff recommends the City ac- <br />cept the funds for the purpose stated, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute <br />the Contract. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Temby, approving and author- <br />izing Mayor to execute Contract No. 80-109 with the East Valley Regional Council on <br />Aging for Title III funds as outlined by Staff. Unanimous vote. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Retirement <br />Ordinance No. 1573 <br />City Manager Gonzales stated that Second Reading of Ordinance No. 1573, amending the <br />City's Contract with PERS, will be deferred to a later date, as it is his understand- <br />ing that the City is still negotiating with the employees association on this matter. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mrs. Pauline Garcia, 489 North 4th Street, spoke about Item No. 10, the proposed <br />mobile home park, asking if this property is within the City limits and if it is <br />on the tax rolls, and also questioned the waiver of sewer connection fees. <br />Mr. Daniel Burnett, Jr., City Engineer, stated the property is within the City limits, <br />and the purpose for waiving the sewer connection fees. Mr. Burnett then explained to <br />Mrs. Garcia the City's procedure and policy with regard to charges for sewer connec- <br />tion fees and sewer service. <br />ArmnlIRNMFNT <br />Moved by Councilman—Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unanimously passed, <br />Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 8:40 p. m. <br />HELEN A.
