<br />JULY 175 1979
<br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above
<br />given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales pre-
<br />siding.
<br />Invocation was offered by Dr. Robert Shiffleth of the World Prophetic Ministry.
<br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
<br />ROLL CALL:
<br />Council Members present were Cisneros, Rehrer, Temby, and Mayor Gonzales. Also
<br />present were City Manager Calabrese, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos.
<br />Absent was Councilman Hayes due to illness.

<br />Chamber of Commerce, Women's Division, for Little Miss Colton Contest, Saturday,

<br />Dance Permit
<br />Mr. Jose Prieto, 1110 Pennsylvania Avenue, Colton, representing the Trabajadores
<br />Unidos, requested a dance permit for Saturday, August 4 and 11, 1979, from 8:00
<br />p. m. to 12:00 p. m., and Saturday, September 1, 1979, from 8:00 p. m. to 12:00
<br />p. m., and Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 14, 15 and 16, 1979, from 8:00
<br />p. m. to 12:00 p. m.
<br />Police Chief Phil Elliott stated that he had been made aware of the request for the
<br />dance permit verbally, however, he had not received a copy of the permit as yet.
<br />City Clerk Ramos advised that Mr. Prieto had completed a dance permit application
<br />in her office this afternoon, and it is now being processed.
<br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, approving Dance Permit
<br />application requested by Jose Prieto for time and dates as outlined, subject to rati-
<br />fication by the Chief of Police. Unanimous vote.
<br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve the Con-
<br />sent Calendar. Vote was unanimous.
<br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
<br />Conditional Use Permits

<br />Planning Director Gonzales advised that the applicant, Robertson's Ready Mix, has
<br />requested that the matter concerning their request for a Conditional Use Permit
<br />to screen and haul sand from the Santa Ana riverbed, which is being continued from
<br />a previous meeting, be continued to the next regular Council Meeting, Tuesday,
<br />August 7, 1979.
<br />Mr. Gonzales stated the applicant has been meeting with neighbors in the surround-
<br />ing area in an effort to work out several problems.
