Ir Mr. Bjorklund again asked about the preparation of the resolution to dismiss former City Manager Tom Calabrese, commenting on the remarks as made by City Attorney Edwards that he had not gotten instructions from any member of the City Council to draw up the document and he had done this on his own. Mr. Bjorklund continued his only concern is that Mr. Edwards is not an elected official of this City and in his capacity, how can he have the power to initiate an action that would fire the City Manager, unless, of course, he did receive instructions to draw up this resolution from someone other than the City Council. Mr. Bjorklund said his ques- tion is did the City Attorney initiate this action independently or did someone other than the City Council ask him to draw up this resolution. City Attorney Edwards responded to Mr. Bjorklund that he was incorrect with regard to his basic premise. Mr. Bjorklund then asked Mr. Edwards you were asked, or you were not asked, to draw up the resolution? City Attorney Edwards answered the question assumes facts that are not so, and he has no idea where Mr. Bjorklund gets his information. Mr. Edwards said he would refer to the Minutes, however, he did not feel that Mr. Bjorklund was correct. Mr. Bjorklund then spoke about the duties for the position of Auditor Analyst and also for City Auditor, discussing assignments and responsibilities of Jerry Young Co that had not been completed or taken care of, the salary for both positions, the reinstatement of Jerry Young and the cost to the City and the citizens of Colton for this, and comments made by Jerry Young relating to the City's Finance Department. Mr. Bjorklund then asked the City Council if any of them felt that, after hearing Q what he has said, they should reconsider their decision to have Mr. Young rein- stated and do they now feel that this matter should be put to a vote of the City Council? Mr. Bjorklund concluded that he would like to request the resignations of Council- man Temby, Councilman Rehrer and Councilwoman Cisneros for their concerted efforts and their blatant, irresponsible action in the reinstatement of Jerry Young. La Placita de Agua Mansa Mr. Frank Rebollo, Chairman of the Board of La Placita de Agua Mansa Restoration Association, advised the Council Members and public that the Association will have a meeting on Wednesday, April 2, 1980, to bring the citizens up to date with their goals and the proposed Redevelopment Agency survey. Mr. Rebollo in- vited everyone to attend. ADJOURNMENT: Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 8:14 p. m. HELEN A. Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer. ROLL CALL: Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Temby, and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Gonzales, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos.
