76 Police Chief Connolly reported that the cost of reconstructing the area that was the dispatch area prior to the move to the basement, had been ommitted and the cost is $4,200. Chief Connolly said the area will be utilized by the Police Services Division. Chief Connolly said the cost to relocate the Detective Division to the rental property across the street, adjacent to the Civic Center Annex, is estimated at $10,560 for the first years coat. Chief Connolly said personnel to be relocated would be the probation officer, narcotics officer, crime prevention; basically those that generally work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. City Manager Elliott said a recap of all adjustments would be available for the Council for their meeting on Monday, June 24, 1985 at 5:30 p.m. Police Chief Connolly said Lt. Stratton had compiled a Manpower Study which indicates our availability time is down markedly. Chief Connolly said he is submitting the report for Council review and requesting that Council consider the additional personnel needed, should monies become available in the future.
