91 <br />City Manager Benest advised this matter will be discussed at Staff <br />Meeting tomorrow, and hopefully this matter can be taken care of. <br />Mrs. Pauline Garcia, 489 North 4th Street, spoke to the Council about <br />the recently adopted Ordinance for sewer rates and the lower rates for <br />senior citizens. Mrs. Garcia said she felt this Ordinance should be <br />taken under advisement and restudied. Mrs. Garcia stated the senior <br />rate should be based on wages and age and not water use or number of <br />people in the household. <br />City Manager Benest stated this would be referred to Administrative <br />Services for review. <br />City Manager <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 9:15 p. m., to discuss <br />Pending Litigation, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9, re- <br />garding Workers Compensation Matters, and reconvened at 9:33 p. m., all <br />Members present. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios and unani- <br />mously passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 9:35 p. m. <br />HELEN A. Also present were City Manager Keane, City Attorney Edwards, <br />and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />( 1 ) Minutes <br />May 16, 1989 <br />JUN 6 1989 <br />City Manager Benest stated that inasmuch as this would be his last <br />Council Meeting for the City <br />of Colton, he would like to take this <br />opportunity to thank each Council <br />Member, his Executive Staff, and all <br />employees he has worked with <br />over the past three years.
