R-05-14 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON TO APPROVE STAFF RECOMMENDED <br />CHANGES TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE POLICY, <br />GENERAL PROVISIONS, SECTION III, ELECTRIC <br />VEHICLE DISCOUNT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a general law city, duly organized and existing <br />under the laws of the State of California, and situated in the County of San Bernardino; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council o the City of Colton has the jurisdiction over the <br />implementation of rules and rates for the Electric Utility as propounded in the Customer Service <br />Policy; and <br />WHEREAS, the Electric Utility has proposed changes to the Customer Service <br />Policy, General Provisions, Section III, Electric Vehicle Discount to update and re -instate the EV <br />Discount program for residential customers who own and operate EVs and to encourage the <br />purchase and use of EVs in the City of Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council must approve any changes in the Customer <br />Services Policy prior to the implementation of any proposed changes. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Colton City Council finds <br />that it would be appropriate to adopt the changes to the Customer Service Policy, General <br />Provisions, Section III Electric Vehicle Discount proposed in Exhibit "A" attached and made a <br />part hereof to become effective on February 1, 2014. All previous resolutions amending, <br />modifying or otherwise changing the General Provision, Section II Electric Vehicle Discount are <br />hereby superseded. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 21st day of January, 2014. <br />---SAR0 S.
