R-08-11 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPOINTING A REPRESENTATIVE, AN ALTERNATE AND A SUBSTITUTE <br />ALTERNATE REPRESENTATIVE TO THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE <br />INDEPENDENT CITIES RISK MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY (ICRMA) <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton ("City") is a member of the Independent Cities Risk <br />Management Authority ("ICRMA"), a joint powers authority created pursuant to the <br />provisions of the California Government Code; and <br />WHEREAS, ICRMA provides a Liability Risk Management Program, Property Risk <br />Program, Workers' Compensation Risk Management Program, and other <br />1111 programs for its members; and <br />`1 <br />211 <br />WHEREAS, the Joint Powers Agreement provides that the city council of each <br />member city shall appoint a member of the city council as that city's representative to the <br />ICRMA Governing Board and also authorizes the appointment of an alternate representative <br />and a substitute alternate representative to represent the city's interest in the absence of the <br />city council appointee; and <br />WHEREAS, City desires to designate its representative to the ICRMA Governing <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Colton <br />does hereby find, determine and declare as follows: <br />SECTION 1. That David Zamora, Mayor, (must be an elected official) is hereby <br />appointed to serve on the ICRMA Governing Board and to the Risk Management Programs in <br />which this City participates. <br />SECTION 2. That Bonnie Johnson, Management Services Director, (may be a staff <br />person) is hereby appointed as the alternate, to serve on the ICRMA Governing Board and to <br />the Risk Management Programs in which this City participates in the absence of the primary <br />member noted in Section 1 above. <br />
