ADJOURNED REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OCTOBER 15, 1996 In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 6:10 P.M., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Fulp presiding. FLAG SALUTE: Mayor Fulp led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. INVOCATION: Dr. Thomas W. Harvick offered the invocation. ROLL CALL: Councilmembers present were Hansen, Bennett, Cook, Sanders, Beltran, and Mayor Fulp. Also present were City Attorney Biggs, City Manager Freeman, and Interim City Clerk Delgado. Mayor Fulp stated that Councilmember Hutton was absent due to illness. MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: Presentations, Awards. Proclamations * Councilmember Cook read the Proclamation declaring October 26 1996 as "National Make A Difference Day. Accepted by Susan Patane, NORCAL/San Bernardino Inc. * Councilmember Sanders presented a Certificate of Recognition to employee Nitin Modi, Principal Electrical Engineer in the Electric Utility Department for his involved efforts in completing the Gale A. Drews Substation and the publication of his article in the magazine Public Power issued by the American Power Association entitled "Colton's Turnaround." Accepted by Tom Clarke, Electric Utility Director on behalf of Nitin Modi. * Councilmember Beltran presented a Certificate of Recognition to Jim Burns, Southern California Edison Region Manager, upon his retirement effective October 30, 1996.
