CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />FEBRUARY 03, 1998 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the <br />above given date at 6:03 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor <br />Gaytan presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE <br />Police Chief Lunsford led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Chaplain Ed List offered the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL. <br />Present were Councilmember John Hutton, Councilmember Kelly Chastain, <br />Councilmember Betty Cook, Councilmember Deirdre Bennett, <br />Councilmember James B. Grimsby and Mayor Karl E. Gaytan. Also present <br />were City Manager Garcia, Interim City Attorney Carvalho and City Clerk <br />Barrera. Councilmember Don Sanders was absent: <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br />Presentatiorts, Awards, Proclamations <br />Proclamation honoring the Colton Ministerial Association was read by <br />Councilmember Cook and accepted by Chaplain Bob Johnson, who responded <br />and introduced Chaplain Jim Stovall, Chaplain Gilbert Arrieta, and, Chaplain <br />Eduardo List. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />Interim City Attorney Carvalho announced the City Council would convene in <br />Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code §54957.6, to discuss personnel <br />action: <br />1. Job Classification Study <br />2. Compensation Study <br />Interim City Attorney Carvalho announced the City Council would convene in <br />Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code §54957.6, to confer with its <br />' Labor Negotiator, Dennis Morris, regarding Negotiations with Representatives of <br />1 the Fire, IBEW, General, and Management/ Confidential Bargaining Units.' <br />Council Mins February 03, 1998 1 <br />
