CITY OF COLTON <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />MAY 04, 1999 <br />Regular Meeting held on the above given date at 6:16 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Gaytan, presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Pledge of Allegiance led by Police Chief Patrick Crowe. <br />INVOCATION <br />After introduction by Chaplain Johnson, Pastor David Byrd offered the invocation. A moment of <br />silence was observed in memory of Harry V. Roquet, deceased. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PRSSE7Y7 <br />CM Donald J. Sanders <br />CM Kelly J. Chastain <br />CM James B. Bennett <br />City Attorney Carvalho <br />➢ Proclamation was read declaring May 5, 1999 as a National Day of Prayer; accepted by Rev. <br />Bob Johnson. <br />➢ Proclamation was read recognizing the outstanding Employee and Community contribution for <br />the Blood Drive on April 8, 1999; and announcing the upcoming Blood Drive in August 1999; <br />accepted by City Treasurer Mike Williams on behalf of Betty Holder, Chairperson. <br />➢ Proclamation was read declaring May 5, 1999 as Cinco de Mayo; accepted by Assistant to the <br />City Manager Kathy Kively. <br />➢ Recognized the presence of Mr. Jack Agar, former Member of UC Board of Regents. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />Ordinance, Shopping Carts and Laundry Carts <br />Assistant City Manager Parrish recounted that the proposed ordinance was returned to the <br />Committee, comprised of CM Bennett, CM Cook, CM Chastain, Police Chief Crowe and <br />himself. A meeting was held on April 8, with representatives of Stater Bros and WalMart and <br />City Council Mins May 4, 1999 1 <br />
