M., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett, presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />CM James Grimsby led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION <br />Chaplain Jim Stovall led the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PRESENT <br />CM James B. Grimsby CM Betty L. Cook <br />CM Donald J. Sanders (Present at 6:13 PM) CM Richard A. DeLaRosa <br />CM Kelly J. Chastain Mayor Pro Tempore Deirdre H. Bennett <br />STAFF PRESENT <br />Assistant City Manager Parrish City Attorney Carvalho <br />City Clerk Barrera <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />➢ Proclamation was read honoring Charles Reed, Postal Clerk, upon his retirement. <br />➢ Proclamation was read declaring November 8, 2000 as National Young Reader's Day <br />sponsored by the BOOK IT! National Reading Program. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br />FF.M A <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider a replacement ordinance for Ordinance No. 0-18-87 <br />and its amendment Ordinance No. 0-01-92 with newly adopted F.E.M.A. recommended <br />Floodplain Management Ordinance. <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett declared the Public Hearing "Open." <br />Upon Staff's recommendation, Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett continued the public hearing to <br />September 5, 2000. <br />ORDINANCE: <br />City Council Mins August 15, 2000 1 <br />
