M., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Bennett, presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Bennett led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION <br />Rev. Fr. Bennett <br />City Attorney Carvalho <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />➢ John Nielson, Manager of Independent Cities Risk Management Authority, presented history <br />of the organization, of 29 member cities, that offers a liability access program, a workers <br />compensation access program and a property access program. A check for $31,636.92, the <br />first installment of a dividend plan was presented to the City. <br />➢ Proclamation declaring the week of April 16-22, 2001 as Week of the Young Child and April <br />21, 2001 as National Play Day presented was presented to Kindercare Learning Center. <br />➢ Certificate of Recognition honored Police Officer Greg Gerth for his outstanding work in the <br />Community. <br />➢ Recognition given to the City Employees of the Public Works Department, Police Department <br />and Utilities Department for their outstanding work in a recent water main emergency. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />General Plan Amendment (Dominguez Plaza) <br />City Council Mins April 17, 2001 1 <br />
