RESOLUTION NO. R- 100-01 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO <br />APPOINT SPECIFIC REPRESENTATIVES TO THE INDEPENDENT CITIES RISK <br />MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a member of the Independent Cities Risk <br />Management Authority ("ICRMA"), a Joint Powers Authority created pursuant to the provisions of the <br />California Government Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Amendment to Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement For Insurance <br />And Risk Management Purposes dated July 9, 1997, and the Risk Management Committee by-laws <br />require that an elected official be appointed by resolution to the Governing Board of the Authority, an <br />alternate (the alternate may be a staff member) be appointed by resolution to act in the primary <br />member's absence, and a substitute alternate (may be a staff person) be appointed by resolution to act <br />in the primary and alternate members absence; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does resolve as follows: <br />Section 1. That the City of Colton appoints City Councilmember Helen Ramos (must be <br />an elected official) to serve on the Governing Board of the Independent Cities Risk Management <br />Authority. <br />Section 2. That the City of Colton appoints Joanne Knowles, Risk Manager (may be a <br />staff person) to serve on the Governing Board of the Independent Cities Management Authority in the <br />absence of the primary noted in Section 1 above. <br />Section 3. That the City of Colton appoints Dilu de Alwis, Finance Director (may be a <br />staff person) to serve on the Governing Board of the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority in <br />the absence of the primary and alternate members noted in Sections 1 and 2 above. <br />Section 4. That the individuals previously designated by this Council as the City's <br />representative, alternate, and substitute alternate to the ICRMA Governing Board are hereby confirmed <br />and designated as the City's delegate to the ICRMA Governing Board for all purposes of representing <br />
