RESOLUTION NO. 2684 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN 1 UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "EAST COLTON ANNEXATION NO. 25 " TO THE CITY OF COLTON. 2 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLTON: 3 4 WHEREAS, on the 5th day of April, 1966 the City Council of 5 Colton did pass and adopt Resolution 2678, giving notice of 6 the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory being 7 therein designated as "East Colton Annexation No. 25 " to the 8 City of Colton, said Resolution describing the boundaries of the g territory proposed to be annexed; and 10 WHEREAS, said Resolution 2678 did contain a notice of the 11 day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City 12 of Colton would hear protests made by owners of property within 13 the City of Colton but not within the territory sought to be 14 annexed, the time of said hearing to be not more than thirty 15 days after passage of said Resolution. (Section 35310.1 - 16 Government Code) , and 17 WHEREAS, at a regular meeting held May 3, 1966 at 7:30 P.M. 18 in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center located at 650 No. 8th 19 in the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, State of 20 California, said time and place being the day, hour and place 21 fixed in Resolution 2678 for hearing protests to said annexation, 22 the said City Council did hear and pass on all protests made 23 to the proposed annexation and determine that sufficient 24 protests have not been made by the owners of property within 25 the City who do not own property in the territory proposed to 26 be annexed; and 27 WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of 28 Colton and is uninhabited territory in the County of San 29 Bernardino. 30 NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Colton does 31 hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter 32 described to the City of Colton and does further ordain that said territory be and it is hereby annexed to the City of Colton.
