AGENDA REPORT <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />For City Council Meeting of <br />June 18, 1996 <br />June 12, 1996 <br />TO: MAYOR FULP, CITY COUNCIL AND CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: Julie Hayward Biggs, City Attrn <br />SUBJECT: Extension of Urgency Ordinance o. 0-12-96 <br />In accord with the provisions of Government Code Section 65858, the attached <br />Urgency Ordinance has been prepared to extend the duration of the moratorium imposed by <br />Urgency Ordinance No. 0-12-96 with regard to adult businesses within the City of Colton. <br />Adoption of this urgency ordinance will allow the City time to complete its studies with regard <br />to the existing regulations within the City relating to adult businesses and to revise zoning and <br />other ordinances as may be necessary to assure full compliance with the law. The urgency <br />ordinance extends all provisions of Ordinance No. 0-12-96 including those dealing with interim <br />development controls regarding adult businesses for a period of 10 months and 15 days. <br />It is strongly recommended that the City Council adopt this urgency measure. <br />
