AGENDA REPORT <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />For City Council Meeting of <br />February 18, 1997 <br />February 12, 1997 <br />TO: MAYOR GAYTAN, CITY COUNCIL AND CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: Julie Hayward Biggs, City Atto <br />San Control SUBJECT: STimoteo Creek Flood Control roect/Resolution <br />As directed by unanimous vote of the Colton City Council on February 4, 1995, <br />attached is a resolution which expresses support for the following: <br />1. A citizens initiative to repeal San Bernardino County Assessment District <br />95-1 pursuant to the provisions of Proposition 218; and <br />2. Re -design of the San Timoteo Creek flood control project to preserve the <br />area in as natural a state as possible so that it may continue to be a water <br />conservation, wildlife refuge and recreational resource; and <br />3. Re -calculation of assessments imposed by San Bernardino County on <br />property within the City of Colton located within the boundaries of <br />Assessment District 95-1. <br />Additionally, a preliminary draft of a proposed initiative, prepared on behalf of <br />Colton property owners whose property is included in Assessment District 95-1 is also attached <br />for your information and review. <br />Concurrence: <br />Malik Dantala Freeman, Interim City Manager <br />
