13
AGENDA REPORT
CITY OF COLTON
For City Council Meeting of
July 15, 1997
July 9, 1997
TO: MAYOR GAYTAN, CITY COUNCIL AND CITY MANAGER
FROM: Julie Hayward Biggs, City Atto
SUBJECT: Car Allowance Resolution
As you may recall, there was some confusion when Resolution R-63-97 was
adopted by a four member quorum of the City Council. That resolution provided for an increase
in the car allowance for elected officials and city employees to $400 per month. Several
members of the City Council have asked that this matter come back before the Council in the
form of a new resolution repealing Resolution R-63-97 and re-enacting the former car allowance
amount of $275. The Resolution also reflects existing City policy that only Executive level
employees are entitled to elect to use a City -owned vehicle instead of receiving the car allowance
payment.
Concurrence:
GraeKe Fernandez Harmon, Acting City Manager
-
Item NO. 22
