Item #2 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />MEMORANDUM <br />Office of the Mayor and Council <br />Date: August 15, 2002 <br />To: The Honorable Mayor and Council Members <br />From: Executive Assistant/Council Office Manager Adelfa Flores , <br />Subject: Voting Delegates for League of California Cities Annual Conference <br />COUNCIL MEETING OF AUGUST 20, 2002 <br />Every year, the Colton City Council appoints a new voting delegate and an alternate delegate to <br />represent our city in matters affecting municipal or League policy. At last years' conference, <br />Mayor Deirdre Bennett served as the voting delegate and Council Member Kelly Chastain <br />served as the alternate delegate. The Annual League Conference will be held in Long Beach, <br />California, October 2 — 5, 2002. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Appoint two Members of the Colton City Council to represent the <br />City at the League's Annual Conference. One Member shall serve as the Voting Delegate and <br />one shall serve as the Voting Alternate. <br />Designated appointments must be submitted to the League on the attached form, by September <br />5, 2002. <br />Attachments follow: <br />• Memo from League President, dated June 12, 2002 <br />Annual Conference Voting Procedures <br />2002 Annual Conference Voting Delegate Form <br />:adf <br />
