Hugh Margesson, Childcare Director <br />SUBJECT: Approve Request for Recruitment, Ratification and Appointment <br />to the Part-time Position of Cook Within the Childcare Division. <br />DATE: November 19, 2002 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The approved Proposition 10 budget for 2002/2003 allows for the hiring of a part-time <br />Cook at the Colton Cares Proposition 10 facility. There is now a need to begin a <br />recruitment process for this position. <br />ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION: <br />The amount of cooking and meal preparation for 72 children (2 hot meals and 2 snacks <br />per day) requires the hiring of a part-time cook. To date Colton Cares has employed an <br />individual from a temporary agency while the City's Human Resources Department has <br />developed a job classification. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The position currently appears in the Child Care FY 2002/2003 budget funded as <br />follows: Account #206-7200-7204-1040 (salary).
