ni <br />(5 I <br />;j <br />8 <br />i <br />i <br />91 <br />r <br />10r <br />J__ <br />12I' <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />29 <br />30 <br />31 <br />ORDINANCE NO, 1090 <br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE <br />HARBORING AND OWNING CERTAIN <br />ANIMALS AND REPEALING ORD, <br />NO. 726, 822 and 957 <br />The City Council of the City of Colton does ordain as follows <br />Section 1: Every person, firm or corporation owning or harboring a f <br />dog within the City of Colton on or before the first day of July of each year <br />shall pay to the City a License fee of $3. 00 for Males or spayed female dog; <br />and $5, 00 for females and no license to own or harbor a dog as herein pro- <br />vided shall be issued except on application in writing to the Chief of Police of <br />said City as provided hereinafter. <br />Section 20 The Chief of Police upon receipt of such application and <br />the license fee aforesaid shall issue and deliver to such owner or possessor <br />of a license, a receipt certifying the payment of the license fee and setting <br />i <br />forth the name and address of the applicant and a brief description of the dogs <br />together with the fact that it has been vaccinated as provided herein and stating <br />i <br />the number alloted to such dog, and he shall deliver or cause to be delivered to <br />i <br />the applicant a metallic tag which shall set forth the year of the license and the <br />' number alloted to the dog, which tag shall at all times be affixed to the collars <br />i <br />covering, harness or other article worn by such dog yearly. <br />I <br />H The Chief of Police shall make a charge of one dollar or such other <br />I <br />sum as the City Council may determine by resolution for each duplicate <br />ii <br />111license issued -to replace any license issued under the provisions of this <br />ordinance which has been lost or destroyed„ <br />Section 3; Every dog within the City of Colton found for which a <br />license shall not have been issued., as provided herein which shall not bear <br />a tag as herein provided, shall be impounded by the Humane Officer for a <br />period of seventy-two hour s,p and in the event the owner or possessor of such <br />dog shall not, on or before the expiration of such period call for and claim said <br />dog and pay the license fee therefor and obtain a tag therefor and pay the sum <br />of $1.00 pound fee, or such other sums as the Council may by resolution <br />determine, the said dog shall be disposed of by the Humane Officer, <br />
