17.t <br />prior military service. <br />Mr. Huffaker advised the survey would be conducted by PERS at a cost of $220., and monies are available in this year's <br />budget for this purpose. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, Council approved the Actuarial Survey to be conducted by <br />the Public Employees Retirement System. Vote was unanimous. <br />Budget <br />Mr. Huffaker stated the Council members have received copies of the Preliminary Budget for 1975-76, and asked when <br />the Council would like to begin Budget Study Sessions. <br />Council concurred that the first Budget Study Session will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 1975, at 7:00 p. m. <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Police <br />Regulations <br />City Attorney Hutton referred to a proposed resolution authorizing the Chief of Police to destroy certain City records, <br />documents, instruments, books, papers, etc., as provided in Section 34090 of the Government Code. The Chief of <br />Police will provide the City Clerk and City Attorney with a list of the items to be destroyed. <br />Chief of Police Phil Elliott stated this is the same procedure that is being followed by the Department of Justice <br />in Sacramento, and is in compliance with Section 34090 of the Government Code. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, Council approved Resolution No. 3525. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3525 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN DOCUMENTS <br />AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 3036. <br />Bicycles <br />Fees <br />City Attorney Hutton introduced a resolution regarding bicycle license fees, which complies with new State laws <br />regarding the licensing of bicycles. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3526 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, ESTABLISHING BICYCLE LICENSE FEES AND <br />REPEALING RESOLUTION NOS. 1906 AND 3365. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Spragins, Council approved Resolution No. 3526. <br />Claim <br />Mrs. Harold N. Betts <br />City Attorney Hutton stated the Claim of Mrs. Harold N. Betts versus the City of Colton concerns an incident in one <br />of our City parks where Mrs. Betts alleges her clothing was stained with paint from one of the park benches. Mr. <br />Hutton recommended this Claim be rejected and referred to our insurance carrier. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, Council rejected the Claim of Mrs. Harold N. Betts and <br />referred it to the insurance carrier. <br />Executive Session <br />Personnel Matters - Meet and Confer <br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 8:29 p. m., and reconvened at 9:02 p. m., all members present. <br />Mayor Huntoon stated that Personnel Matters were discussed, and Meet and Confer items. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting at 9:04 p. m., to <br />meet for an Adjourned Regular Meeting on Tuesday, June 24, 1975, at 7:00 p. m. RAMOS <br />City Clerk <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Colton was held on the above given date at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Conference Room in City Hall, Mayor Huntoon <br />presiding. <br />ROLL CALL! <br />Council members present were Hayes, Spragins, Rehrer, Gonzales and Mayor Huntoon. Also present were City Manager <br />Huffaker, Finance Director McGuire, Planning Director Williams, Assistant to the City Manager Johnsen, Chief of <br />Police Elliott, Chamber of Commerce Representatives, and City Clerk Ramos. Councilman Gonzales entered the meeting <br />room at 7:15 p.m. <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY PROJECT: <br />Cooley Ranch Development <br />Director of Planning and Special Services Williams reported that his presentation tonight regarding the development <br />of the Cooley Ranch Area is for the purpose of securing Council's approval to begin proceedings for the formation <br />of an improvement district. Mr. Williams stated that the Redevelopment Agency and City Council will be asked to <br />adopt a Redevelopment Plan for the Cooley Ranch Area. <br />Mr. Williams reported the Planning Commission will be discussing the project area tonight. Mr. Williams stated that <br />Staff along with Stone & Youngberg are working towards an August 1, 1975 Redevelopment Plan adoppion date. Mr. <br />JUN :, <br />
