<br />December 20, 1977
<br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7•
<br />Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Beltran presiding. .30 p. m., in the
<br />Mayor Beltran led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
<br />Invocation was offered by the Reverend Robert K. Johnson of the Colton Community Church.
<br />ROLL CALL:
<br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Gonzales, and Mayor Beltran. Also present were Cit Manager Cal

<br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote.
<br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS:
<br />School District
<br />Mayor Beltran referred to a map indicating the proposed route for the Colton High School Band March-A-Thon, to be
<br />held on Saturday, December 31, 1977, at 1:00 p.m., the march to consist of approximately seven miles.
<br />Mayor Beltran suggested that possibly someone on the Staff at the High School could work out the details of the
<br />proposed March-A-Thon with our Police Chief, Phil Elliott.
<br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, approving Colton High School Band March-A-Thon on
<br />December 31, 1977, to be coordinated between Mr. Jackson of the High School and Police Chief Elliott. Unanimous
<br />vote.
<br />Boards and Commissions
<br />Planning Commission:
<br />Mayor Beltran read a memorandum dated December 7, 1977, from Councilman Rehrer, recommending reappointment of Mrs.
<br />Shirley Face to the Planning Commission.
<br />Moved by Mayor Beltran, seconded by Councilman Hayes, approving reappointment of Mrs. Shirley Face to the Planning
<br />Commission. Vote was unanimous.
<br />Parks & Recreation Commission:
<br />Mayor Beltran read a memorandum dated December 19, 1977, from Councilwoman Cisneros, recommending reappointment of
<br />Mrs. Sheila Rios to the Parks and Recreation Commission.
<br />Moved by Mayor Beltran, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, approving reappointment of Mrs. Sheila Rios to the Parks &
<br />Recreation Commission. Unanimous vote.
<br />Mayor Beltran also referred to a memorandum dated December 16, 1977, from the City Manager, regarding vacancies on
<br />City Commissions, involving the Planning Commission, Cemetery Commission, Parks & Recreation Commission, and the
<br />Housing Advisory & Appeals Board.
<br />Mayor Beltran stated this matter will be continued until the next regular Council Meeting, January 3, 1978.
