City Auditor Young provided that the additional person re- <br />quested, Groundman, would add $16,000 to the budget. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to tentatively approve <br />all of the Electric budget as presented, with the addition of the new position re- <br />quested. Unanimous vote.. <br />City Attorney <br />The City Council reviewed the budget presented by the City Attorney. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia to tentatively approve <br />the City Attorney's budget as submitted. RAMOS <br />City Clerk <br />Approved this 1st day of July, 1980. <br />ADJOURNED COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 17, 1980 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally 'given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of <br />the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 5:30 <br />p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />ROI I CAI I <br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor Gonzales. <br />Also present were Acting City Manager Elliott, City Attorney Edwards, Acting Finance <br />Director Andengaard, City Auditor Young, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />BUDGET <br />Preliminary <br />Library <br />City Librarian Hornburg presented the Library Budget stating the budget had been <br />reviewed by the Library Board. Miss Hornburg said the budget, with the exception <br />of inflationary increases and the request for a new service position is much like <br />last year's. <br />Miss Hornburg said the request for the new service position was deleted by the City <br />Manager, however, she is requesting Council's consideration at this time. The <br />position would be a Library Assistant I for 20 hours to provide library service <br />at the Hutton Center, similar to that now provided at the Luque Center. Miss <br />Hornburg said the new position would add $5,000 to the budget. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to tentatively approve <br />the Library Budget as recommended by Acting City Manager Elliott. Unanimous vote. <br />City Treasurer <br />City Treasurer Berkebile addressed the City Council saying the big change in her <br />budget is that of a salary increase as per her letter request to the City Council. <br />The salary increase would be from $6,210 per year to $12,000 per year. Mrs. Berke - <br />bile said she felt the workload and responsibility increase due to the ongoing activ- <br />ity in the assessment districts and miscellaneous accounting tasks she has taken on <br />justify her request. <br />JUN 17 1980 <br />
