35� <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 15, 1980 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales <br />presiding. <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by the Reverend David Wooten of the Olive Street Baptist <br />Church. <br />Rni i CAI i <br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Temby, and Mayor Gonzales. <br />Also present were City Manager Gonzales, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk <br />Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Minutes <br />M January 2, 1980 <br />Warrants <br />323845 32626, 32883 through 33116 <br />11571. 115725 11702 through 11716, 11860 through 11997 <br />Q January 11, 1980 Inclusive <br />Bids <br />Award of Bid for 30,000 feet of wire, Consolidated Electrical Distributors, <br />$9,734.19. <br />Request authorization to advertise for Bids on Street Light Standards and <br />Fixtures for Tract No. 10026, and Transformers for Tract No. 9811. <br />Swimming Pool <br />Construction Progress Report. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve the Consent <br />Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 7:37 p. m., to discuss Meet and <br />Confer matters, and reconvened at 8:30 p. m., all Members present. <br />Personnel/Retirement <br />Resolution No. 3965 <br />City Attorney Edwards read in full Resolution No. 3965 pertaining to certain <br />salaried employees' benefits, effective January 1, 1980, and the termination <br />of Social Security benefits, effective December 31, 1979. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Resolution <br />No. 3965. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3965 - RESOLUTION PROVIDING BENEFITS TO CERTAIN SALARIED CITY <br />EMPLOYEES REPLACING SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Variances <br />P. C. Res. No. 932 <br />Planning Director Trevino reported on a Variance application requested by Daon <br />Corporation to allow reduction of side yard setbacks and the setbacks between <br />structures to a minimum of 10 feet in a mobile home park located at 1500 Santo <br />Antonio Drive in the Cooley Ranch Planned Community area. <br />Mr. Trevino advised that a public hearing was held on this matter January 8, <br />1980, and both the Planning Commission and Planning Staff recommend approval <br />of the Variance application as outlined in Planning Commission Resolution No. <br />932. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 932.
