RAMOS, CMC City Clerk * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ADJOURNED COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 179 1986 O An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton (D was held on the above given date at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers LO of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding. 0 ROLL CALL: c Q Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor Huntoon. Also present were Acting City Manager Edwards, Acting Finance Director Andengaard, Asst. Finance Director Young, and City Clerk Ramos. BUDGET FY 1986-87: TENTATIVE BUDGET LIST: Acting City Manager Edwards announced the City Council has before them a list of items tentatively added to the budget. Mr. Edwards said the Council will review each item individually and make a final determination of whether to add it to the budget or leave it out. CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Huntoon said the first item to be reconsidered is the request for a new typewriter for the City Council Office. Mr. Edwards stated the first time the typewriter was considered, the Council asked for written justification. Mr. Edwards stated the justification has been provided to the Council and is before them. Mayor Huntoon stated he would give the Council an opportunity to read and review the justification. Moved by Mayor Huntoon, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve $2,000 requested by the City Council to purchase a typewriter. Mayor Huntoon stated this was a request for the Centennial Committee in the amount of $25,000. Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve the $25,000 for the Centennial Committee. Councilwoman Garcia stated she had requested a budget and one has not JUN 17 1986 Councilwoman Cisneros stated that the City Clerk had indicated, after placement of the CRT requested in this budget, the memory typewriter in her department could be made available to a department having this :r type of need. Councilman Rios stated the City Clerk had indicated the ;a Mag Card Typewriter was used as a backup when when the computer is down. Mrs. Ramos was asked if she could get along without the type- writer. Mrs. Ramos responded yes. After further discussion, Mayor called for the vote. Motion failed. COMMUNITY PROMOTION: Mayor Huntoon stated this was a request for the Centennial Committee in the amount of $25,000.
