Ordinance No. 0-4-89 First Reading City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 0-4-89 for First Reading, reading it as to number and title only, advising that this Ordinance will authorize the Assistant City Manager, or designee, to issue Cita- tions or Violations of Title 5 of the Colton Municipal Code. Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to waive full reading and pass First Reading of Ordinance No. 0-4-89. Unanimous vote. ORDINANCE NO. 0-4-89 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING (First Reading) THE ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO ISSUE CITATIONS FOR VIOLATIONS OF TITLE 5 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: Mr. Fred Cordova, 190 West "E" Street, Colton, stated he felt the City should consider a full time Code Enforcement Officer, as such a person will eventually be needed, rather than having the Assistant City Manager perform these duties, as it seems she has enough to do already. It was explained to Mr. Cordova that this had to do with Business Licen- sing only, Title 5 of the Colton Municipal Code, and the designee would be doing most of the work. ADJOURNMENT: Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios and unanimous- ly passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 9:45 p. m., to meet on Saturday, February 11, 1989, at 8:45 a. m., for a Planning Commission off-site Work Session at the San Bernardino County Medical Society Build- ing, 952 South Mt. Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Invocation was offered by Pastor Stephen Anderson, Healing Waters Church. Councilman Lofy commented on a function he attended where Pastor Anderson was also present, advising that Pastor Anderson had spoken very highly of the City and made very favorable comments. Mayor Gonzales also thanked Pastor Anderson for participating in the Council Meetings during the last year and offering the Invocation. ROT.T. rAT.T.
