No. R-55-87 Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. .� Personnel Officer Benest submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that no protests or objections had been received. Mr. Benest reported the public hearing this evening is to amend the City's Pay and Classification Plan to include the position of Water Quality Control Inspector, a position approved in the 1985-86 budget. Mr. Benest advised the individual will perform on-site inspections of backflow prevention devices, collect and record waste water samples and inspect industrial waste water discharge facilities for conform- ance with the City's Pre-treatment Ordinance. Mr. Benest stated this classification will be placed in the City's General Unit and, based on the educational and certificate require- ments, Salary Range 22.0 is recommended. Mr. Benest concluded Staff recommends approval of the Job Description and Resolution No. R-55-87, amending the City's Pay and Classification Plan for Water Quality Control Inspector. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, the Public Hearing was terminated. Unanimous vote.
