Mr. Zamora concluded if Council concurs, it would be in order to con- <br />sider First Reading of Ordinance No. 0-21-87, approving the zone change, <br />and consider the Resolution amending the General. Plan at the time Second <br />Reading of Ordinance No. 0-21-87 is considered. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to close <br />the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to pass First <br />Reading, and waive further reading, of Ordinance No. 0-21-87. Unanimous <br />vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-21-87 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING <br />(First Reading) ORDINANCE NO. 1602, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING <br />FOR CERTAIN ZONE RECLASSIFICATIONS. <br />Franchises <br />Res. No. R-146-87 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Water Superintendent Terry Lyons reported on the franchise permit re- <br />quested by Southern Pacific Pipe Lines, Inc., to construct a 20 inch <br />pipeline through the City to convey petroleum through California to <br />Phoenix, Arizona. Southern Pacific Pipe Lines has agreed to pay the <br />City an annual fee for conveying the petroleum through the City based <br />upon quantity. <br />Mr. Lyons concluded Staff recommends if there are not sufficient pro- <br />tests heard at the conclusion of the public hearing, Council approve <br />Resolution No. R-146-87, approving the franchise permit for Southern <br />Pacific Pipe Lines, Inc. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to close <br />the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-146-87.
