They are used in the day to day operation. <br />Moved by Councilmember Beltran., seconded by Coon i l member Sandoval, <br />o approve Consent Calendar Item 4 <br />Mayor Pulp stated there are 225 crossarms on the bid. and asked how <br />long this supplv would last. Manager Milroy replied as the <br />Principal Electric Engineer receives request for service, he checks <br />the inventory and projects the needs,, then an order is placed <br />according to need.. Ma3or Fulp questioned the inventory controls in <br />place. Manager Milroy replied that there are inventory projections <br />and controls in place; however, the projections are based on <br />assessed need rather than solely on history of usage. <br />Councilmember Hutton asked if it was correct that past usage <br />history and delivery time was considered when considering length of <br />time involved for restocking. Manager Milroy said that was <br />correct. There are other circumstances factored in,, such as <br />special specifications for transformers, slow or rapid development <br />and limited number of manufactures. <br />Motion carried.
