where Well Number 18 and Well Number 19 are located. <br />She scrutinized the $14,696.89 charge, representing 9% <br />Administration Cost for deposit to the General Fund. Director <br />Hutton stated that pursuant to City policy, there was an <br />administrative cost for engineering related expenses. <br />Councilmember Bennett stated she did not approve taking enterprise <br />money to balance the general fund. She argued that if the <br />enterprise had used its own employees that no administrative costs <br />be deducted to benefit the general fund. She asked for Manager <br />Lavin's input on the record. Manager Lavin was not present. <br />As requested, Finance Director Chamberlain explained the reason for <br />administrative cost. She indicated that the City's present <br />computer system could not handle time cards and provide a cost <br />analysis. Councilmember Beltran explained that from the sale price <br />the enterprise fund would realize approximately $150,000. <br />Motion by Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Councilmember Cook, <br />to approve the sale of the property at this time but not expenses. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Aaenda Item No. 17: <br />Councilmember Bennett stated she could not vote on this matter <br />since Schedule 1 was missing and she had questions on the <br />Contractor's Fee for changes in the work. <br />On Councilmember Sandoval's suggestion and Council approval, Mayor <br />Gonzales declared this agenda matter deferred to the adjourned <br />meeting on Thursday, August 18, 1994. <br />Agenda Item No. 18: <br />After Councilmember Bennett expressed concern about the request for <br />loan from the Electric Utility Fund, Councilmember Sandoval as <br />Redevelopment Agency Chairperson identified the request for loan as <br />a proper step towards conducting a feasibility study for the future <br />preparation of a new redevelopment project area to be known as the <br />La Cadena Corridor Redevelopment Project Area. <br />He took exception to the inference that the redevelopment agency <br />does not pay its loans. He declared that this was not so as the <br />agency paid its debt in a timely manner. After discussion on the <br />area to be considered, Councilmember Cook hoped the report would <br />include the widening of Fogg Street at the underpass. She declared <br />it would be a terrific gain for the City. For future presentation, <br />it was requested that a map with boundaries be presented to Council <br />Members. <br />Motion by Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Councilmember cook, <br />to accept Staff recommendation for approval of the Agreement for <br />4 <br />AUG 16 1994 <br />
