Presentation <br />Miller Honey <br />Mrs. Rita Miller, 11900 Honey Hills, Grand Terrace, described the <br />business started by Nephi E. Mlller when he brought 7 colonies of <br />bees to Colton and turned a hobby into a business with high <br />production of honey in the United States. In celebration of 100 <br />years in business, Mrs. Miller distributed copies of a book she had <br />written which chronicled the family history. She fondly recalled <br />her husband Woodrow Miller's 17 years on the City Council, having <br />served two terms as Mayor of the City of Colton. She acknowledged <br />the tremendous work by the City Council and expressed appreciation. <br />She introduced Ms. Lila Miller McKuen, a descendant of Nephi <br />Miller. <br />Resolution <br />Gun Policy <br />Motion by Councilmember Beltran, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to <br />consider and adopt Resolution No. R-21-94. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-21-94 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON ADOPTING A ZERO TOLERANCE <br />GUN POLICY. <br />SCAG <br />Motion by Councilmember Beltran, seconded by Councilmember <br />Cisneros, to approve and adopt Resolution No. R-22-94. Unanimous <br />vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-22-94 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />CALIFORNIA, EXPRESSING A STRONG <br />OPPOSITION TO THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA <br />ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS REGIONAL <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. <br />Recognition <br />Police Chief Bernie Lunsford gave a brief background for the <br />incidents which required response from the Police Department and <br />then called upon Lt. Steve Cabral and Lt. Randy Heusterberg who, in <br />turn, introduced the two Police teams which were being recognized <br />for the outstanding conduct exhibited during the recent service of <br />a warrant of arrest and the investigation of a homicide case. The <br />S.W.A.T. Team was praised for its conduct, more particularly <br />Officer Mike Hadden who suffered a gun shot wound when the team <br />attempted to serve a warrant of arrest. The team moved swiftly and <br />effectively and did not have to fire a single shot.
