Item No. 9 - SCAOMD Trainin <br />Councilmember Cook indicated that in compliance with the City <br />Council's recent vote to freeze all expenditures, she moved that no <br />one be allowed to attend this training. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilmember Beltran. <br />Interim City Manager Winter indicated this request was for <br />recertification of two employees as Employee Transportation <br />Coordinators, for a total of $150.00. and the deadline is near. <br />Community Development Director Zamora confirmed that this is <br />mandated training, every twelve months, by SCAQMD. After brief <br />discussion, Councilmember Beltran withdrew the second to the above <br />motion. Said motion is moot. <br />Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Councilmember Bennet, moved to <br />approve the mandatory SCAQMD update training for the two employee <br />transportation coordinators. Unanimous vote. <br />Item No. 20 - Dauer Park <br />Councilmember Cook requested that improvements requested for the <br />three parks be held until after budget time. After polling, Mayor <br />Gonzales declared that this request is approved by consensus of the <br />City Council. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br />Boards & Commissions <br />Code Enforcement Housing Advisory and Appeals Board <br />Mayor Gonzales submitted Councilmember Cook's recommendation for <br />the appointment of Ms. Cynthia De La Rosa to the Code Enforcement <br />Housing Advisory and Appeals Board. <br />Motion by Councilmember Cisneros, seconded by Councilmember Rios, <br />to approve the appointment of Ms. De La Rosa to the Code <br />Enforcement Housing Advisory and Appeals Board. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Fees <br />Mr. Fred Cordova, 190 West E Street, addressed the requirement of <br />a conditional use permit for the planting of trees. He inquired <br />about the money collected from developers for planting trees and <br />parkways. He stated that now there is no money because it was <br />placed in the general fund.
