'-- RESOLUTION NO. R-26-94 - <br />MAYOR & COUNCIL ITEMS <br />Recognition <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY OF COLTON TO <br />ENTER INTO LEASE AGREEMENTS) AND PROJECT <br />LEASE(S) AND RIGHT OF ENTRY AGREEMENT(S) <br />WITH INDEPENDENT CITIES LEASE FINANCE <br />AUTHORITY FOR PURPOSES OF FINANCING, <br />REFINANCING OR REIMBURSING THE COSTS OF <br />VARIOUS EQUIPMENT AND, IN ORDER TO SECURE <br />SUCH FINANCING PROVIDING FOR THE LEASE OF <br />THE COLTON LIBRARY AND CITY HALL; AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF OTHER <br />INSTRUMENTS AND THE TARING OF OTHER <br />ACTIONS RELATED TO SUCH FINANCING. <br />Mayor Gonzales presented a Resolution to Purchasing Manager Ken <br />Peterson upon his retirement after 17 years of dedicated service to <br />the City where under his direction there is an efficient Stores <br />Operation; and under his supervision the new Corporate Yards were <br />finally completed and under his supervision the City now has a <br />computerized Fixed Asset System. <br />Proclamation <br />Mayor Gonzales read the Proclamation declaring the week of March 7- <br />14, 1994 as Arbor Week and urged all citizens to celebrate this <br />holiday by planting trees to gladden the heart and promote the <br />well-being of this and future generations. Recreation and Human <br />Services Director Anstine accepted said Proclamation. <br />Board/Commission <br />Councilmember Sandoval recommended the appointment of Mrs. Tish <br />Baden to fill the unexpired term of Mrs. Nadine Yarnell who <br />resigned from the Parks and Recreation Commission. Motion by <br />Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Councilmember Bennett, to <br />approve the appointment of Tish Baden. Unanimous vote. <br />Councilmember Cook recommended the appointment of Mr. Antonio <br />Vilches to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Johnny Sierra from the <br />Utilities Commission. Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by <br />Councilmember Bennett, to approve the appointment of Mr. Vilches. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Commendation <br />Mayor Gonzales presented a Certificate of Commendation to Mrs. <br />Helen Cortez for her hard work and efforts in making the vermi <br />composting classes a very successful City project.
