Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing continued to the next <br />City Council Meeting on April 5, 1994. <br />Historic Landmark #40 <br />Mayor Gonzales announced that this was the time and place fixed for <br />Public Hearing to Consider the Designation of Historic Landmark <br />#40, located at 1154 N. La Cadena Drive. <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and <br />reported that no protests or objections were received. <br />Community Development Director reported the Historic and Scenic <br />Preservation Commission reviewed and approved an historic <br />designation for the residence at 1154 N. La Cadena Drive, a <br />dwelling built in 1939, bearing qualifying architectural design. <br />A professional survey was conducted by Management Sciences <br />Applications, Inc., which supported Staff's recommendation for <br />historic designation. <br />There being no response for public comment, motion by Councilmember <br />Cook, seconded by Councilmember Rios, to terminate the Public <br />Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Beltran, to <br />approve staff recommendation and adopt Resolution No. R-32-94. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-32-94 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON PROVIDING FOR THE <br />DESIGNATION OF A HISTORICAL LANDMARK <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF COLTON. <br />STAFF REPORTS: <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Moratorium/Building Permits/Slope Areas <br />Councilmember Sandoval recalled a modification to the proposed <br />ordinance, which was to include "La Loma Hills and adjacent areas." <br />City Attorney Biggs assured that a corrected copy had been provided <br />to the City Clerk which included the requested language. <br />As an urgency measure, City Attorney Biggs advised that a four- <br />fifths vote of the City Council would be needed to pass the <br />ordinance. Motion made by Councilmember Bennett, seconded by <br />Councilmember Sandoval to waive full reading and pass Second <br />Reading of Ordinance No. 0-05-94. Mayor Gonzales directed that a <br />roll call vote be taken by the City Clerk. Said motion carried by <br />8 <br />MAR 15 1994 <br />
