office and proceeded to relate the incidents which took place prior <br />to the City Manager barring the Treasurer's attendance at the <br />Management Team Meeting. <br />City Manager Martinez stated that since this position did not <br />answer to him that he believed the position could meet with members <br />of staff at any time. Pointing to the fact that he has invited <br />Mayor and Councilmembers to attend the first part of these <br />meetings, he stated that this forum was his opportunity to work <br />with department heads and encourage the free flow of ideas and <br />information. <br />As to cash flow, City Manager Martinez said he received <br />contradictory fiscal information from the City Treasurer thus <br />preventing him from identifying the 1993-94 deficit. He remarked <br />that he did not have confidence in the figures. City Manager <br />Martinez said it disgusted him to engage in brouhaha and offered to <br />abide by City Council direction. City Attorney Biggs cautioned <br />about the rules of decorum and order. <br />City Treasurer Williams answered in rebuttal and asked City Council <br />if they would entertain a resolution outlining his rights/duties. <br />By consensus of Council, the matter will be agendized for the next <br />Council meeting. <br />MAYOR and COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Appointments <br />There were none. <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL COMMENTS: <br />Agenda Topics <br />Councilmember Deirdre Bennett asked that the following topics be <br />placed on the agenda for discussion and action: New City Council <br />to set Study Session to establish common goals; cable television; <br />geological survey; cash management audit; and, metro -link station <br />for Colton. <br />Reche Canyon <br />Councilmember Bennett reminded that a meeting needed to be set with <br />all agencies in Reche Canyon, to look at what is to be done with <br />the road. Assistant to City Manager Parrish relayed that SANBAG is <br />going through Reche Canyon widening the road, possibly splitting <br />through Pigeon Pass; extend through Loma Linda and to California <br />Street in Redlands. <br />Budget <br />r-- <br />5 <br />ROV i 5 1984 <br />
