6-90 where the City Council had requested an investigation of a
certain developer by the State Contractor's License Board and as a
result, the developer had lost his license. Rev. Anderson said he
wanted the same type of pursuit in his matter and said this further
proves the point that the City can help if it wants to. He
mentioned that at a meeting on Thursday, April 6, 1995, he was
accused of fostering a "personal agenda." He said he was attacked
by Councilmember Bennett and Community Development Director Zamora.
He stated that Councilmember Bennett should be censured. He said
he was appealing to his City to get behind him and do something.
Councilmember Bennett asked to speak with Rev. Anderson and the
alleged attack. Rev. Anderson said he would show the video next
week.
Councilmember Bennett inquired about the request for proposals
regarding the soils study. After discussion, with Council
approval, the subject of the soils study was continued to the
meeting of April 10, 1995.
City Attorney Biggs cautioned that the Andersons have a claim
outstanding with the City and that City Council should proceed
carefully and the City is under threat of litigation. She agreed
to review and report as to Resolution No. R-6-90.
Mr. Steve Henderson said he was a Hidden Canyon resident and
invited the Mayor and City Council to attend a meeting to be held
there next Thursday . He described the destruction caused by tar
in the patio and angrily complained about the shoddy work done. He
concluded that the development should never have been started. He
invited City Council to take a stand. Mayor Fulp said he would be
there Thursday and Councilmember Cook volunteered to attend as
well. Rev. Anderson said he would video tape the meeting.
Councilmember Bennett said the meeting would be at 6:30 P. M. at
Cooley Ranch Elementary School.
Mr. Henderson reported that a code enforcement truck appeared to be
making stops in the neighborhood and when he stopped the vehicle,
the code enforcement officer said she had just gotten the car
washed and was driving around. She inquired if this was the area
mentioned by Steve Anderson.
Budget
Mr. Charles S. Jackson complained there was no item to discuss the
budget and budget cuts. He asked Council to consider stopping the
payment of overtime which is a considerable amount of money every
month. He urged that utility billing go from 60 days to 30 days
and if utilities bills are not paid within the first 30 days that
an additional $1.00 per month be charged which would enhance the
treasury by $12,150 and the City would be $10,000 ahead. He asked
that Council reduce pay for staff for not less than 10%, starting
7
APR 0 P 1995
