Mike Valles, P. 0. Box 392, speaking on the gambling issue, stated he has <br />complied with all filing requirements and will be happy to attend CAGE's Friday <br />meeting. <br />Charlotte Guyaux, P. O. Box 143, Colton, discussed electrical right of ways and <br />stated she has property available for purchase which is approximately 28 acres. <br />tea« <br />The City Council recessed at 8:17 p.m. and reconvened at 8:27 p.m. All members <br />were present as before. <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL CMEMTS <br />Councilmember Beltran stated District 3 will have a Town Hall Meeting at the new <br />Community Center on October 11, 1995 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Councilmember <br />Beltran stated that when the Council goes through the restructuring process, a <br />Senior Citizens Commission should be formed. <br />Councilmember Sanders stated there will be a Community Meeting on October 19, <br />1995 and a flyer will be forthcoming with more information. Councilmember <br />Sanders acknowledged Councilmember Beltran's leadership of the RDA and stated <br />RDA is the key to the future. <br />Councilmember Cook stated the Sun featured Fleming Park which was dedicated in <br />1927. The Sun stated it is the pride of the City and should be maintained. <br />Councilmember Cook stated Friends of Veteran's Park is holding a fundraiser on <br />October 7, 1995 which will be a family fun day. <br />Councilmember Hutton stated the San Bernardino County Health Department will be <br />immunizing at the Hutton and Luque Center since it is the start of the flu <br />season. <br />Councilmember Bennett asked the City Manager if it is possible to welcome new <br />businesses to the area such as Maria's Mexican Restaurant. City Manager <br />Martinez stated he will meet with Mr. Dawson and put together a letter for the <br />City Council. <br />Councilmember Hutton requested a list of new businesses be shown on Channel 3. <br />Councilmember Bennett stated citizen volunteers at the Colton Police Department <br />are working on a haunted house and asked for volunteers and materials. The <br />haunted house will be October 26 through 31 at the Albertsons shopping center. <br />Councilmember Bennett thanked Pam Seeley, Frances Weaver, John Mitchell for <br />working on the haunted house. <br />k, <br />OCT 0 `! 1995 <br />
