Finance Director Vega said there. was only one- individual. <br />Timing and Funding for Installation of Sidewalks and Curbs for Walin and Center Streets <br />Mayor Fulp indicated that item was addressed on 3/19/96 with research to by <br />Councilmember/Director Hutton to follow. <br />Interim Director of Water/Wastewater Les Evans' Contract <br />Assistant to City Manager Parrish submitted written report listing total amount of contract, <br />amount used and amount remaining. City Manager Martinez stated that appointment to this <br />position was a subject for Closed Session. Brief discussion had on whether the remaining <br />contract amount could be used for transition. <br />Landscape Improvements in and Around the Watwood Generator <br />Councilmember Sanders said he was satisfied with the response to his inquiry. He reported the <br />City is looking at the matter and would be addressed further on 4/2/96. <br />I Additional Public Comments <br />Ms. Jean Ferrante recalled she paid a $3 utility deposit. She offered an apology if she offended <br />Ms. Vega. She said the City should know who its department heads are. <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL COMMENTS: <br />District 3 <br />Councilmember Beltran referred to the moving of the rails located on the spur from Colton to <br />San Bernardino, which reach Mt. Vernon Avenue and continue through to Valley Boulevard. <br />He forwarded a letter asking Southern Pacific Railroad to quitclaim its interest thereon to allow <br />use of that area for bicycle lane, jogging lane or landscape area. Councilmember Beltran spoke <br />with the Executive Director to SANBAG and asked staff to work with SANBAG to obtain a <br />grant to start acquisition and landscaping and report will be forthcoming. <br />District 1 <br />Councilmember Sanders reported on the opening day ceremonies to be held March 30, 1996 for <br />Rimbaugh Girls Softball. On complaints, he asked staff to review and coordinate with Rudy <br />Garcia, President of the League.
