He informed Council the amount under professional services needs to be increased by $24,000 in <br />order to complete studies as part of the Capital Improvement Projects. <br />Discussion followed with City Manager Martinez, Finance Director Vega, and Principal Engineer <br />King providing clarification. <br />Motion/second, by Mayor Fulp/CM Bennett to accept the tentative Public Works Department Budget <br />for 1996-97. Motion carried with CM Hutton absent. <br />Randy Anstine, Neighborhood Services Director, presented to Council a staffing analysis for the <br />Neighborhood Services Department as of May 1996. <br />Discussion followed with Director Anstine providing clarification. <br />Director Anstine reported that staff has worked with the Parks and Recreation Commission, City <br />Manager Martinez, and Finance Director Vega in developing the Review of 1996-97 Proposed budget <br />for Neighborhood Services and informed Council that they are satisfied with the budget. <br />Discussion followed with City Manager Martinez, Finance Director Vega, City Attorney Biggs, Kim <br />Kelley, Neighborhood Services Coordinator, and Director Anstine providing clarification. <br />Steve Anderson, Colton citizen, supported the personnel positions that have been requested by <br />Neighborhood Services and referred to the recent Gang Awareness Session. <br />Motion/second, by CM Cook/Hansen, to accept the tentative Neighborhood Services Department <br />Budget for 1996-97. Motion carried with CM Hutton absent and CM Beltran temporarily absent <br />from the dais. <br />RECESS <br />At 12:30 p.m. Mayor Fulp declared a recess and reconvened at 1:35 p.m. All members present except <br />CM Hutton/Hansen absent. <br />Lighting and Landscape Maintenance District Budget <br />Anna Vega, Finance Director presented for Council's review the Lighting and Landscape <br />Maintenance District (LLMD) Proposed Budget for 1996-97. <br />Discussion followed with City Manager Martinez and Assistant City Manager Parrish providing <br />clarification. <br />Motion/second, by Mayor Fulp/CM Bennett to accept the tentative LLMD Budget for 1996-97. <br />Motion carried with CM Hutton/Hansen absent. <br />3 <br />
