Self -Insurance Fund Budget Gracie Harmon, Personnel Director, presented for Council an overview of the Self -Insurance Budget and how funds are used to implement the Workers' Compensation Program and Liability Program. Director Harmon informed Council that the safety consultant's contract would not be renewed and would now be handled in-house. Discussion followed with Finance Director Vega and Director Harmon providing clarification. Motion/second, by CM Cook/Sanders, to accept the tentative Budget for the Self -Insurance Fund. Motion carried with CM Hutton/Hansen absent. Air Quality Management District Budget Anna Vega, Finance Director, presented to Council the Air Quality Management District (AQMD) Budget for 1996-97 and provided information as to how funds would be distributed. Discussion followed with Police Chief Lunsford and Director Vega providing clarification. Motion/second, by Mayor Fulp/CM Sanders to accept the tentative AQMD Budget for 1996-97. Asset Seizure Budget Bernie Lunsford, Chief of Police, presented to Council funds available through asset seizure and provided information as to how funds would be distributed. Discussion followed with Chief Lunsford providing clarification. Motion/second, by Mayor Fulp/CM Cook, to accept the tentative Budget for Asset Seizure Funds for 1996-97. Motion carried with CM Hutton/Hansen absent. Hani Gabriel, Economic Development Director, presented to Council the Cemetery Budget for 1996- 97 with a $75,000 expected deficit and declared that with staff working diligently by increasing sales and revenues the deficit would be reduced. Discussion followed with Finance Director Vega, City Attorney Biggs, and Director Gabriel providing clarification. No action was taken on the Cemetery Budget by Council. Water Budeet Les Evans, Interim Director, presented to Council the Water/Wastewater Budget for 1996-97. 4
