Self -Insurance Fund Budget <br />Gracie Harmon, Personnel Director, presented for Council an overview of the Self -Insurance Budget <br />and how funds are used to implement the Workers' Compensation Program and Liability Program. <br />Director Harmon informed Council that the safety consultant's contract would not be renewed and <br />would now be handled in-house. <br />Discussion followed with Finance Director Vega and Director Harmon providing clarification. <br />Motion/second, by CM Cook/Sanders, to accept the tentative Budget for the Self -Insurance Fund. <br />Motion carried with CM Hutton/Hansen absent. <br />Air Quality Management District Budget <br />Anna Vega, Finance Director, presented to Council the Air Quality Management District (AQMD) <br />Budget for 1996-97 and provided information as to how funds would be distributed. <br />Discussion followed with Police Chief Lunsford and Director Vega providing clarification. <br />Motion/second, by Mayor Fulp/CM Sanders to accept the tentative AQMD Budget for 1996-97. <br />Asset Seizure Budget <br />Bernie Lunsford, Chief of Police, presented to Council funds available through asset seizure and <br />provided information as to how funds would be distributed. <br />Discussion followed with Chief Lunsford providing clarification. <br />Motion/second, by Mayor Fulp/CM Cook, to accept the tentative Budget for Asset Seizure Funds for <br />1996-97. Motion carried with CM Hutton/Hansen absent. <br />Hani Gabriel, Economic Development Director, presented to Council the Cemetery Budget for 1996- <br />97 with a $75,000 expected deficit and declared that with staff working diligently by increasing sales <br />and revenues the deficit would be reduced. <br />Discussion followed with Finance Director Vega, City Attorney Biggs, and Director Gabriel <br />providing clarification. <br />No action was taken on the Cemetery Budget by Council. <br />Water Budeet <br />Les Evans, Interim Director, presented to Council the Water/Wastewater Budget for 1996-97. <br />4 <br />
