MOTION/VOTE: There being no requests for public comment, motion/second by CM <br />Sanders/Hutton to terminate the Public Hearing carried with CM Chastain absent. <br />Motion/second made by CM Cook/Sanders to approve and adopt Resolution R-80-98, for the closure <br />of Cantera Street, North of San Bernardino Avenue, to implement the circulation element of the <br />City of Colton General Plan, carried with CM Chastain absent. <br />WEED ABATEMENT <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider the resolution accepting the report of costs for the Spring <br />weed abatement program and the placement of parcels on the property assessment tax rolls. <br />Mayor Gaytan declared the Public Hearing "open." <br />City Clerk Barrera declared the Affidavit of Publication was on file in the City Clerk's Office and <br />reported there were no protests or objections thereto. <br />Fire Marshal Alan Sork reported the Spring weed abatement had been completed and requested <br />approval of the proposed resolution. Discussion followed on the area surrounding Meridian and <br />Visconti. <br />MOTION/VOTE: There being no requests for public comment, motion/second by CM-Cook/Hutton <br />to terminate the Public Hearing carried with CM Chastain absent. <br />Motion/second made by CM Cook/Hutton to approve and adopt Resolution R-81-98, adopting the <br />report and statement of expenses for the City's weed abatement program and imposing a lien <br />upon property for payment thereof, carried with CM Chastain absent. <br />ON-SITE STORAGE OF REFUSE CONTAINERS <br />This is time and place fixed to consider an ordinance amending Chapter 18.56.030 of the Colton <br />Municipal Code, pertaining to the on-site storage of refuse containers in residential zones. <br />Mayor Gaytan declared the Public Hearing "open. " <br />City Clerk Barrera declared the Affidavit of Publication was on file in the City Clerk's Office and <br />reported there were no protests or objections thereto. <br />Community Development Zamora summarized his written report and requested approval of the <br />proposed ordinance. Discussion followed on the need for barriers to hide containers on side yards. <br />MOTION/VOTE: After discussion, there being no requests for public comment, motion/second by <br />CM Sanders/Hutton to terminate the Public Hearing carried with CM Chastain absent. <br />Council Mins August 18, 1998 4 <br />
